Does Laka cover personal misplacement of gear?
No we don't. To keep things fair for The Collective, we cannot cover items that are simply misplaced or lost by you. This includes scenarios like leaving your GPS unit at a cafe or a multi-tool falling out of your pocket while on a trail. Our standard coverage is built to protect The Collective against theft and accidental damage, but it does not extend to personal misplacement.
When is accidental loss covered by Laka?
Accidental loss is covered only if your bicycle or accessories are in the custody of a Third-Party who has contractual responsibility for your gear. This typically includes:
