Laka Bike Insurance - Complete, Core and Add-Ons Cover and Limitations

Laka prides itself on having some of the best monthly cover available for bicycles and gear - fit for cyclists of all disciplines.

Our packages are monthly rolling contracts, you can pause or cancel, provided you aren't in a lock-in period and can only pay monthly. Check out our full features and join Laka.

We offer two packages and an add-on for insuring your bikes and accessories, which are summarised below.

Licensed Racing & Worldwide Travel Add-on

Going on holiday with your bike or heading to a licensed race? To be covered you'll need to take out our Licensed Racing & Worldwide Travel Add-on from the 1st of June, 2024. There is a 30-day lock-in period.

If you are an existing customer, you will have received an invitation to opt-into this change, and were required to respond by 1st of June, 2024.

Currently, the add-on cannot be scheduled to start or stop.

The add-on cannot be added to Laka Core, the add-on is available to customers on the Laka Complete package only.

Key Limitations

Each cover module listed above has its own limitations, but in general:

  • We cannot cover professionals.

  • You must adhere to the locking and storage requirements when leaving your bike unattended.

  • You must notify us within 28 days of an incident

  • Only family members are covered when using your bicycle, excluding personal liability.

  • We may reject claims that we believe have been deliberate acts or are fraudulent

  • You must provide photo evidence to prove ownership of all your items. You can upload this in your account area, under "Gear"
