What are the minimum and maximum bike values for insurance?
To keep the Laka Collective fair and sustainable, we have specific limits on the value of the bikes we can cover under our standard policy. These limits ensure that the monthly contributions are balanced for everyone.
What are the valuation limits for a single bike?
When you are adding a bicycle to your gear list, the item's replacement value must fall within these boundaries to be eligible for standard cover:
Minimum value: £300
Maximum value: £15,000 for any single bicycle.
Is there a limit on the total value of my bike collection?
Yes, there is. If you have multiple bicycles, Laka has a cap on the total amount we can cover on one account. The total cumulative value of all bicycles on a single Laka account must not exceed £30,000.
What if my bike or collection exceeds these insurance limits?
We know some of the Collective have truly exceptional setups! If your specific bicycle or your total collection value sits above these standard restrictions, it falls outside our typical policy.
Don't worry, though - we may still be able to help. Please message our support team with the details of your gear. We can often look at a bespoke arrangement to ensure your high-value equipment is properly protected.
