30-day lock-in period

Whenever you increase your cover level, a 30-day lock-in period will apply, with a few exceptions.

When the lock-in period applies:

  • Switching from Core to Complete

  • Activating the Race & Worldwide Travel add-on

  • Reactivating a paused or cancelled policy

When the lock-in period does not apply:

  • Upgrading or editing your gear

  • Activating the Health & Recovery add-on

  • Moving to a more expensive postcode

During the the lock-in period, you can't schedule, cancel or pause your policy. Please make any necessary adjustments before this period starts.

New customers may cancel within 14 days under the cooling-off policy.

Why do we have this policy?

To protect the Collective from high-risk customers who might only pay for a few days or weekends worth of cover, such as for races or holidays.
